KARACHI: Protest at INS registration of Pakistanis

KARACHI, Jan 24: The Pakistan Muslim League (QA) on Friday staged a protest demonstration in front of Karachi Press Club (KPC) against registration of Pakistanis in the US and to express solidarity with US-based Muslims.

They were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against fresh US registration laws.

Addressing the participants, General Secretary Sindh PML (QA) Haleem Ahmed Siddiqui, urged the US government to exempt Pakistanis from registration process.

He said that hatred against the US would increase in entire Muslim world if appropriate steps were not taken by the US government.

He said that the Pakistan government had supported the US in its war against terrorism, but instead of giving facilities to the US-based Pakistanis, they were being compelled to go through registration process.—PPI
