KARACHI: 20 vehicles taken away

KARACHI, Jan 22: Bandits took away 20 vehicles- eight cars and 12 motorcycles from different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Three cars were snatched at gunpoint and five were stolen. Six motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint and six were stolen from different parts of the city.

Police claimed recovery of eleven vehicles - five cars and six motorcycles.

ROBBERY: Thieves stole seven television sets from a leasing outlet of domestic appliances in Soldier Bazar on Wednesday morning.

A senior police officer of Jamshaid Town said that a police picket for the Imambargah Abu Talib was located opposite the shop.

Armed men deprived a woman of Rs 5000 in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Wednesday.

Police said armed men snatched cash from a lady who was boarding a rickshaw after visiting a money-changer shop. The bandits escaped on a motorcycle.
