Seven killed in accident

GUJRANWALA, Jan 21: Seven people, including two women and a child, were killed and 15 others injured in a collision between a bus and a wagon on GT Road near Kamoki, some 15km from here, on Tuesday.

The wagon (FDW-7354) headed for Gujranwala collided with a Lahore-bound bus (PR-8694) after hitting a van. Four people died on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries in civil hospitals of Kamoki and Gujranwala.

The dead were identified as Ayub Shah (driver), Malik Muzaffar, Amjad Khan, Gulnaz Bibi, wife of Chaudhry Muhammad Gulzar of Lahore; a child and another elderly woman could not be identified.

The injured were rushed to DHQ Civil Hospital in Gujranwala, and were later shifted to Mayo hospital, Lahore.
