Afghanistan to compete in Pakistan

LAHORE, Jan 20: Afghanistan cricket team, after playing two warm-up matches in Peshawar, arrived in Rahimyar Khan on Monday to play the opening match of the three-day Cornelius Trophy against Rahimyar Khan at Mahmood Stadium, starting from Tuesday, a PCB spokesman said on Monday.

Afghanistan also participated in the 2001-2002 Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II.

Pakistan Cricket Board, is providing Afghanistan cricket team financial support besides the services of a former all-rounder Naeem Ahmad as coach.
