KARACHI: Eight cars, 11 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 19: At least 19 vehicles — eight cars and 11 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen from different parts of the city on Sunday.

Three cars were taken away at gunpoint and five were stolen.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked and four were stolen.

KILLED: Unknown persons killed a young man and dumped his body in Sharifi Goth police limits late Saturday night.

Police said that a body of a young man was found from a dried-up river bed in the limits of Sharifi goth police.

The body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

On Sunday he was identified as Akbar Khan Magsi, aged 30, a resident of Larkana.

SUICIDE: A young girl committed suicide in her house in Sir Syed Town late Saturday night.

Police said that Tehmina, aged 19, consumed some poisonous substance in her house.

The girl was rushed to the Abbasi Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
