KARACHI, Jan 17: Sindh Minister for Planning and Development Shoaib Bokhari has said that more than Rs4.7 million would be spent on different development projects in Korangi, including health and education schemes, during the current fiscal year.
Speaking at the inauguration of a basic health unit in Korangi in Sector-33 (UC-7) on Friday, he informed that Rs1 million would be spent on Korangi-5 hospital, Rs2 million on completion of primary school’s building in Korangi Bhittai Colony and Rs1.7 million on Government Boys Primary School.
The minister said that apart from these schemes, other on-going projects of Landhi and Korangi would be completed in early next fiscal year.
He informed that various schemes have been initiated, including construction of roads and projects regarding water and sewerage.
Shoaib Bokhari pledged to grant Rs1 million for repair of department of accidents in Korangi-5 hospital and promised that the dispensary in the R. Area would be vacated from the police and free health-care facilities would be provided to people.
He announced that the provincial government would grant Rs15 million for completion of all development schemes in Korangi.—PPI
