KARACHI, Jan 9: The Nazim of Karachi, Naimatullah Khan, will lay foundation stone of traffic light signal at Rashid Minhas Road junction in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Friday.
The Transport and Communication Department has planned construction of new channels for the traffic on Shahra-i-Faisal and NIPA Chawrangi starting Jauhar corner and also for the traffic on roads between Gulistan-i-Jauhar and Rashid Minhas Road. Traffic signals would be installed along these routes to ensure a smooth flow.
Construction works at Jauhar turnabout under Khushhal Pakistan Programme Phase-III is in progress and after completion of the project, traffic problem at this point would be resolved to a great extent.
WORKSHOP: The City Nazim will be the chief guest at a workshop on early diagnostician of heart diseases at new campus of the Karachi Medical and Dental College on Jan 11.—PPI
