Gunmen kill 2 levies men

QUETTA, Jan 8: Two levies were gunned down in the Jandran area of Kohlu district, late on Wednesday evening.

“Both men died on the spot,” a senior officers of the Kohlu administration said.

According to sources the Kohlu administration had established a levies checkpost in the mountains of Jandran to check rocket attacks on Kohlu township.

Unknown armed men attacked the checkpost and killed two levy men. Their names are: Faqir Mohammad Marri and Mohammad Rind Marri.

They used automatic weapons and after killing the two men fled from the scene.

After the incident local administration rushed to the scene with Frontier Corps personnel and cordoned off the entire area. An operation has been launched for the arrest of the killers.

According to another report, two rival groups of Marri tribe were engaged in an exchange of fire in the Kohlu Township.
