Shahzaib hits century

KARACHI, Jan 7: A fine unbeaten knock of 100 by Shahzaib Bashir laid the foundation of Zahoor GBBS’s emphatic 99-run victory over Anjuman-e-Islamia in a league round tie of the Siemens Inter-school cricket tournament at TMC Ground on Monday.

In another match, played at UBL Sports Complex Ground ‘B’, Zaheer Public School easily defeated Government Boys Secondary School (Jail Road) by nine wickets.

ZAHOOR GBBS 202-5 in 40 overs (Shahzaib Bashir 100 not out, Sarfraz Ahmed 29, Faraz Feroz 21; Shiraz 2-33);

ANJUMAN-E-ISLAMIA 103 in 32 overs (Mohammad Arif 21; Atif 3-13, Sharir Ali 2-20, Tabish Nawab 2-27).

GBBS JAIL ROAD 79 in 15 overs (Shahzeb Shamim 2-16, Sajid Abbas 2-18, Athar Ali 2-24);

ZAHEER PUBLIC SCHOOL 80-1 in 10.3 overs (Afaq Ahmed 36 not out, Daniyal Zain 33).
