IJT threatens demo

ISLAMABAD, Jan 7: Islami Jamiat Tulba (IJT) has threatened the Quaid-i-Azam University hierarchy and the local administration with launching a protest campaign if the people nominated in the FIR for manhandling their activists were not brought to justice within next days.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, the IJT Islamabad division Nazim, Mian Imran Ramzan, said if the varsity administration hindered the arrest of the accused, they would launch a protest demonstration for the acceptance of their demand.

“This is not the first time that our activists have been battered in such a cruel manner,” he said, adding that if the varsity administration didn’t bring the accused to the book, they reserved the right to file a writ petition with the judiciary, as an FIR had all ready been lodged with the police station concerned.—Our Reporter
