KARACHI, Jan 7: A meeting of various organizations here on Tuesday expressed concern over what they described as increasing incidents of ‘karo-kari’ in the province.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Women’s Action Forum, War Against Rape, Aurat Foundation, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Shirkatgah.
It was pointed out that last year about 382 people were killed on the pretext of karo-kari, which is an alarming sign of violence against women.—APP
