KARACHI: Five cars, eight bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 6: Thirteen vehicles — five cars and eight motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Monday, police said.

Two cars were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Two motorcycles were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

The motorcycles were hijacked/stolen in many areas, including Gulshan-i- Iqbal, Saddar, North Nazimabad, etc.

WOUNDED: A young man was shot and wounded at the doorstep of his house in Shah Faisal Colony on Monday.

Police said that Naushab Akram, aged 32, was in his house when unknown persons rang the doorbell.

When he opened the door and came out to see the callers, they opened fire on him and escaped.

Naushab suffered a bullet wound. He has been admitted to the JPMC, where he is stated to be out of danger.
