KARACHI: PPP seeks probe into corruption

KARACHI, Jan 5: Pakistan People’s Party said on Sunday that Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali “can’t take action” against chief executives of Pakistan Steel Mills, railways, the KESC, Wapda and other national concerns, “who plundered billions of rupees”.

PPP spokesman Taj Haider claimed the quarterly report issued by the State Bank had declared that the administrations of the institutions were responsible for embezzlement and corruption.

He demanded the constitution of a judicial commission to probe into the “corruption and financial and administrative embezzlement” of heads of the institutions and bring them to justice.—PPI
