HYDERABAD, Jan 2: The sacked employees of the Fateh Apparel Limited and Fateh Weaving Mills Limited, Hyderabad, continued their hunger strike outside the press club for the 13th consecutive day on Thursday.

They were protesting against the non-payment of their outstanding dues by the management of both the industrial units.

ARREST DEMANDED: The central president, Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union, Abdul Latif Nizamani, and other office bearers including Iqbal Qaimkhani, Mir Khan Baloch, and Malik Sultan have demanded that the killers of Qazi Saleem Anwar, the provincial information secretary of the union, should be arrested soon.

The demand was made at an urgent meeting of the union held at the labour hall on Wednesday.

The meeting alleged that two men, Amjad Khanzada and Junaid Khanzada, had barged into the house of Saleem Anwar and tried to kill him.

It regretted that although a case had been registered at the A-section police station, Latifabad, but no action had been taken against the accused.

It demanded of the Sindh governor, chief minister, IGP, and the DPO, Hyderabad, to order the arrest of the accused.—Bureau
