Graduation of PAF cadets held

KOHAT, Jan 1: Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Abdul Razzaq SI (M) S Bt urged the jawans to concentrate on training and achieving higher standards in computer skills to be able to operate modern gadgets both on the ground and in the air.

He praised the annual report of Recruit Technical Training Centre (RTTC), and stressed the need for attaining precision and mathematical accuracy in their trades.

He was speaking at a function on the occasion of the passing out jawans of the 0108 entry of the Recruit Technical Training Centre at PAF Base Kohat on Wednesday.

About 1130 cadets successfully completed their training at the RTTC who would be sent to different trades for further experience.

The smartly turned-out cadets held a march past whereas the prominent feature of the function was the enthralling drill presented by the special services group.

Later, the chief guest awarded trophies to the best cadets in various fields and to the champion house.

The best academic trophy was awarded to AC Corporal Khurram who obtained 97 per cent marks, Best General Service Training Trophy to AC Wing Sergeant Asif Yar who got 87 per cent marks, Trophy for both general and academic performance was given to Ac Corporal Aziz ur Rehman with 96 per cent marks.

The champion flag went to Munir Squadron for best overall performance in crosscountry, gymnastic, tug of war, horse riding, football, hockey, kabaddi etc.

The function was also attended by the base commander of the Kohat Base Air Commodore Abbas M. Petiwala senior military, police and civil officers.
