KARACHI, Jan 1: A seminar on “review and reporting on internal control in the context of corporate governance” was recently organized by the Southern Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (ICAP).

An ICAP Southern Region press release stated that the seminar was attended by large number of members of ICAP and non-members, representing various local, multinational organizations and executives in private & public sectors. Asad Ali Shah, partner in M. Yousuf Adil Saleem & Co, chartered accountants, who was the speaker on the occasion, discussed some of the international best practices for understanding and evaluation of internal control systems and also various frame works like international control- integrated framework, criteria of control, internal control guidance for directors and evaluation of internal control system in building organizations.
