LAHORE, Dec 27: The final list of candidates for two Punjab Assembly seats in the by-elections will be issued by the returning officers on Saturday (today).
Friday was the last day for withdrawal of candidature. The names of the following candidates are likely to appear in the final list:
PP-142: Haji Qaiser Amin Butt (PML-Q), Advocate Ziauddin Ansari (MMA), Inamullah Khan Niazi (PML-N), Haji Imtiaz (PTI), Shahid Mahmood, Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas, Ahmad Rashid Qureshi, Khwaja Salman Rafiq and Nawab Dr Amber Shahzada.
Zaeem Qadri and Ameerul Azeem withdrew their candidature from this constituency.
PP-147: Ameerul Azeem (MMA), Zaeem Qadri (PML-N), Abdul Aleem Khan (PML-N), Dr Muhammad Nasir and Khwaja Salman Rafiq.
Inamullah Khan Niazi, Aamir Salim Bhatti and Qasim Khan have withdrawn their nomination papers.
