NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: PPP, STPP protest against governor

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 27: Workers of the Pakistan People’s Party and the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party on Friday staged rallies in Mehrabpur and Tharushah, respectively, against the appointment of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s nominee as the new governor of Sindh.
A group of PPP workers, led by general secretary of the PPP, Mehrabpur, Aftab Mallah, staged a procession in Mehrabpur.
Meanwhile, STPP workers staged a procession in Tharushah to protest against the appointment of the new Sindh governor.
The protestors were led by the STPP organizer of Bhirya taluka, Raza Mohammad Behan.
Protestors in both the rallies called for immediate removal of the newly-appointed governor Sindh.
Nawabshah: Over 20 activists of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party on Friday observed a token hunger strike outside the local press club against the appointment of Dr Ishratul Ibad as the governor of Sindh.
The protestors were led by president of STPP, Nawabshah, Imdad Hussain Rind.
The rally was joined by the workers of Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal and People’s Labour Forum, led by Maulana Hizbullah Khoso and Nazimdin Burdi and Gulsher Bhangwar respectively.
LARKANA: A group of the activists of the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, staged a demonstration outside the local press club against the appointment of Ishratul Ibad as Sindh governor.
Similar demonstrations were also held by the STPP in Shahdadkot and Badah.
MMA: The induction of Ishratul Ibad as Sindh governor will give rise to law and order problem and will pave the way for criminals in Sindh.
This was said by the Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal, Larkana district president, Hafiz Ahmed Ali Abbasi, in a press statement, issued here on Friday.
He said that the government was setting a wrong example, that would never be beneficial for the country.
