ICAP seminar


KARACHI, Dec 26: The southern regional committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan has recently organized a seminar on “Review and reporting on internal control in the context of corporate governance” at ICAP House, Clifton.

Asad Ali Shah, partner M. Yousuf Adil Saleem & Co, Chartered Accountants, discussed some of the international best practices for understanding and evaluation of internal control systems and also various frame works like international control-integrated framework, criteria of control, internal control guidance for directors, and evaluation of internal control system in building organizations.

The session chairman Zafar A. Khan, president & chief executive, Engro Chemicals Pakistan Ltd, while summing up the session also quoted the examples of Engro Chemical regarding the implementation of corporate governance & internal control practices and how to adopt these practices, says a press release.
