UC Naib Nazim killed in road accident

KASUR, Dec 21: A Naib Nazim of Union Council No. 3 was killed in a road accident in Baba Kamal Chishti Chowk here on Saturday.

The car (7739) of Muhammad Hanif overturned when one of its tyres burst. He sustained critical wounds and was rushed to the local DHQ Hospital where he died. Hanif was coming from Deepalpur.

PRISONER DIES: A prisoner involved in a theft case died while being taken to court in a police van here on Saturday.

Phoolnagar police was taking Tariq to produce him before court when he died near Bheemkey village. As per doctor’s report, the deceased was an addict.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead on Saturday by his rivals on the premises of Pattoki kutchery.

Haji Muhammad Akram of Balokey village was arrested in a murder case some one year ago, but he was bailed out. On Saturday, the deceased was sitting outside the chamber of his advocate when two armed men fired at him and escaped in a car. The injured was admitted to the Pattoki THQ Hospital where he died.

Police are going into the matter.

STABBED: A taxi cab driver was stabbed to death on Saturday by four men in Bonga Balochan village, Phoolnagar.

Ashfaq told police that Muhammad Hussain and his three accomplices had hired the taxi cab from Pakpattan from his brother Aslam. Near Bonga Balochan, the accused had the cab stopped forcibly at pistol point, snatched Rs3,000 in cash, a wristwatch and stabbed him for putting up resistance. He died on the spot. Later, the outlaws also took away the cab.

Phoolnagar police have registered a case.

KIDNAPPED: Two women were kidnapped on Saturday from different parts of the district.

Muhammad Amin and his two accomplices kidnapped Mst Surraya in Kanganpur Mandi.

On the report of her brother-in-law, police registered a case against the accused.

In Manekey village, Akhtar with the help of Zetoni Bibi and Phato Bibi took away Naseem Bibi from her house in a car.

Kanganpur police have registered a case.
