KARACHI: Mango candy

KARACHI, Dec 19: Scientists at the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), Karachi Centre, have successfully prepared a ‘mango candy’.

This was stated by the Chief Scientific Officer at the PCSIR Dr Rabia Zubari here on Thursday. She said that it had been prepared by processing mango in the form of tasty ‘soft leather candy’.

She pointed out that the candy would have shelf life of about one year and would be easy to store.

Moreover, she said, the candy would have a lot of nutritional value besides being low in fat as compared to other traditional candies of different brands available in the market. — APP
