KARACHI, Dec 16: Two ships carrying chemicals and furnace oil were berthed at Marginal Wharf and Fotco Oil Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, four more ships carrying general cargo, edible oil carbon oil and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

A total of six ships, Orhan Ekinci, Panamax Strength, Shou Ning Hai, Ievoli Shine, Al-Maqwa and Chin Joy were at the berths loading/discharging wheat, chemicals, general cargo, furnace oil and iron ore respectively.

Cargo handling activity remained brisk totalling 53,561 tons comprising 48,415 tons of import tonnage and 5,146 tons of export cargo was handled.

Two ships, City of Eden Burgh and Docomo were due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Marginal Wharf. Ievoli Shine sailed out on Monday.
