KARACHI, Dec 16: The Karachi Stock Exchange said that on December 16, trading at the KSE was carried out normally.

However, due to problem in the database server, during the day, certain market related services were not provided to the members & market players, including the COT (badla) financing & release sessions and availability of online market statistics.

The KSE stated that the problem was rectified in the evening and on Tuesday, December 17, all market services and facilities will be made available as usual, including common COT (badla) financing and release sessions, for the trades carried out on December 16 and 17.

“The practice of single COT financing and release sessions for two days is not an unusual practice,” the KSE said and added that it was followed in the past to merge clearings of more than one day, especially in case of holidays, which are subject to appearance of moon.
