Democratic values to be upheld, says PM

ISLAMABAD, Dec 14: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Saturday said that all resources would be utilized for development of provinces, and their requirements would be met judiciously.

Talking to newsmen on his return from Karachi at the Islamabad airport, Mr Jamali said the federal government stood for upholding of democratic values and that was why it did not interfere in the formation of provincial government.

The prime minister said it was his endeavour to give fair treatment to all the sides and to ensure that the majority party got a chance to form the government.

About the objective of his visit to Karachi, the prime minister said it was aimed at ensuring transparency in the government formation process in the province.—APP
