PESHAWAR, Dec 13: An under-trial prisoner escaped from police custody outside the court of judicial magistrate here on Friday.

Nadeem Yousaf son of Misri Khan, a resident of Bhana Mari, was arrested on April 13 in connection with attack on the police party of East Cantt police station, headed by Inspector Tila Mohammad.

During the attack, the accused injured a head constable Javed.

On Friday, he appeared before the court of judicial magistrate Fazle Sattar. But on the way back to the Central Jail with four cops, he escaped with handcuffs.

In the past one month, four under-trial prisoners have escaped outside the local courts.
