Wheat bids reviewed

ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind presided over an inter-ministerial meeting to evaluate the bids for export of wheat here on Friday.

The meeting discussed in detail the bids received from various bidders. The final decision will be taken in the next meeting shortly. The government of Punjab has floated tender for export of 100,000 tons wheat of crop 2002. It was also decided the export position may be reviewed next month after an initial assessment of the size and condition of wheat crop 2003.
