ISLAMABAD, Dec 12: US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Christina Rocca will be arriving here over the weekend for consultations with the new government, well- placed diplomatic sources told Dawn on Thursday.
Ms Rocca who was due to arrive in Kathmandu on Thursday will most likely land in Islamabad on Saturday night. She is expected to stay in Islamabad until Tuesday. This will be Rocca’s fifth visit to Islamabad this year and her first after the October elections and swearing-in of the new government.
During her three-day visit Ms Rocca will call on Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali, President Gen Pervez Musharraf and hold talks with the Foreign Minister Mian Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri at the Foreign Office, an official said.
