HYDERABAD, Dec 12: Leaders of the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party have attributed the deadlock in the formation of government in Sindh was due to the violation of democratic traditions and direct interference of Islamabad.

This was resolved at a meeting of the party’s central committee held at the Taraqqi Pasand House here on Wednesday.

It criticized the Muttahida Qaumi Movement for what it termed its duplicity, adding that it was insincere and only paying lip service to the cause of Sindh while elimination of the No-Go areas, demand for governorship and chief ministership and employment remained its topmost priorities.

Criticizing the role of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, the participants of the meeting said that the PPP had failed to come up to the expectations of the people.

The meeting cautioned the members of assemblies that the people of Sindh would keep a close watch on their stance regarding the construction of greater Thal canal, water projects, NFC award and other vital issues.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the STPP, Dr Qadir Magsi, said that two months had passed after the holding of the general elections and the governments at the Centre and three provinces had already started working.

But, he said that the federal government had postponed the Sindh Assembly session twice as it could not cobble together a provincial government of its own choice.
