KARACHI, Dec 12: Federal information minister, Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed, has underlined the need to further enhance the image of Pakistan.
“The Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services on Thursday raised its long-term sovereign credit ratings on Pakistan and said the outlook for both long-term ratings is stable. At the same time, the SPRS affirmed its ‘B’ short-term local and foreign sovereign credit ratings in Pakistan. This is the biggest news as the growth of Pakistan’s economy has been acknowledged at the international level,” he said.
Shaikh Rasheed was talking to editors and senior journalists at a dinner he hosted for them at a local hotel on Thursday night. The dinner was also attended, among others, by Liaquat Ali Jatoi, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and federal information secretary, Anwar Mahmood.—APP
