KARACHI, Dec 9: Five ships carrying containers and to load ethanol and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where three ships, Izumo, Sima Bahar to unload and load containers and Thor Scan to offload general goods were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Kota Tegap, Mar Challenger, Kota Indah, BBC Chilee, Thor Scan, Clement and Pacific Carrier, while Kota Waruna, Izumo, Mercs Mandy and Sima Bahar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Owing to Eid holidays, cargo handling figures for the last couple of days were not available.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Botany Triton, to load ethanol after unloading chemicals, Pontos, to load molasses, APL Costa Rica, Sinar Botain and Kota Teguh, with containers.
