“We at the ICC are pleased to be in Pakistan and were well received and the meeting of the ICC development committee was well conducted and I appreciate PCB and its chairman for their support,” Gray told a press conference after the development committee meeting.

“The standard of administration is excellent and the ICC appreciates General Tauqir Zia and the input we get in particular I, appreciate as President the support of General Tauqir”, he said.

“I had a productive meeting with President General Musharraf and conveyed him that the PCB is a very valued member of the ICC and in terms of efficiency and professionalism it is as good as any other cricket board in the world,” Gray said.

Gray met President Musharraf on Thursday and also held meetings with a number of High Commissioners in Islamabad during his visit to Pakistan.

Meanwhile Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday congratulated skipper Waqar Younis for becoming only the second bowler to reach 400 wickets in one-day cricket.—Agencies
