KARACHI: JI leader vows to rid country of terrorism


KARACHI, Dec 8: Jamaat -i-Islami Secretary-General Syed Munawar Hassan on Sunday contended that by emerging victorious in the election, the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had negated the claim by some elements that “Maulvis enjoy support of only two per cent people in Pakistan.”

Speaking at an Eid Milan party hosted by the JI, he said: “The MMA has emerged as alternative leadership with abilities to herald an era of prosperity, peace and development. We would rid the country of extortion and the culture of terrorism.”—PPI
