Three killed in Indonesia blasts

JAKARTA, Dec 5: Explosions ripped through a McDonald’s restaurant and a car show room in the Indonesian city of Makassar on Thursday, killing three people and wounding several, the state-run Antara news agency reported.

The first explosion occurred at the McDonald’s restaurant at a shopping centre in the city on Sulawesi island in the early evening. The second blast occurred about two hours later in the show room at another shopping centre.

There have been clashes in Sulawesi and elsewhere in Indonesia in recent years.—Reuter
