ISLAMABAD, Nov 30: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced that the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I and II Annual Examinations 2003 will commence from April 29, 2003.
This time the papers of HSSC Part-II will be held prior to the papers of HSSC Part-I to provide some time for preparations to the candidates of Part-I who will appear in new syllabi/pattern for the examination, the board announcement said.
The last date for submitting the admission forms without late fee is January 21, 2003. The forms can be submitted with Rs100 late fees by February 14 and with double examination fees by March 28, 2003, it said. No admission form shall be entertained after March 28, 2003.
The board has fixed following fee for the examination: Science/humanities/commerce group with practical subjects (Rs400 for Part-I, Rs400 for Part-II and Rs800 for Part-I & II); Commerce/humanities groups without practical subjects (Rs375 for Part-I, Rs375 for Part-II and Rs750 for Part-I & II); Additional subject (Rs300); Registration fee for private candidate, if not already registered (Rs200) and improvement of grade/marks (Rs150).
It said result gazette fee of Rs400 each for HSSC Part-I & II was required to be remitted at the time of submission of admission forms. The board has directed the institutions and candidates who want to submit their admission forms by post to despatch the same three days before the last date given in the schedule to avoid late fee or rejection of forms.
The announcement further said the private candidates were not eligible to offer the subjects involving practicals.
The ex/private candidates of Rawalpindi and Islamabad may remit their fee directly in the board’s account through bank challan at the Habib Bank Limited, FBISE Branch, H-8/4, Islamabad. All other candidates in other cities and all institutions should remit their fee only through pay order/bank draft in favour of the controller of examinations, FBISE, Islamabad.
