HYDERABAD, Nov 29: Hundreds of MMA activists led by the leaders of the Islami Tehrik Pakistan, Imamia Students Organization, Asgharia Students Organization, Jamaat-i-Islami, JUI, JUP, and other religious parties on Friday marched through the city roads and held a demonstration outside the press club to mark Yaumul Quds.

The MMA leaders — Syed Kazim Shah Naqvi, Allama Altaf Hussain Al-Hussaini, Nizamul Haideri, Abdul Waheed Qureshi, Azam Jehangiri, Abdur Rehman Rajput (MPA elect), and others condemned the inhuman atrocities unleashed by Israel against the Palestinian people and pledged to liberate “Baitul Maqdas”.

The protesters held the US and Israel responsible for shedding the blood of innocent Palestinians and Muslims all over the world. They burnt the American and Israeli flags.

They called upon the Muslim world to unite on one platform against the anti-Muslim forces.

DEMO: The residents of Kacha Qila and Shah Faisal Colony including women staged a demonstration outside the press club on Friday.

They were protesting against the alleged rampant prostitution and sale of narcotics in the colony.

Several residents including Abdur Razzaq, Saleem Yousufzai, and Maqsood Ali Shah among others told newsmen that a woman of the area, Khursheed, and her husband, Hameed Kashmiri, were involved in the business of prostitution and narcotics.

They alleged that a policeman, Rana Naveed Ahmed (Tag No1217), was patronizing them.

They said that the life of the respectable people of the area had become miserable.

They appealed to the DPO, Hyderabad, and the AIG to take notice of these immoral activities and protect the self-respect of the people of the locality.

However, Khursheed, who was accompanied by her three unmarried daughters — Shama, Sameena, and Farzana — later visited the press club and told newsmen that they were being harassed by ASI Naeem Siddiqui, Ayub Rajput, and Nadeem, who wanted to dispossess them of their home.

They said that the protest demonstration had been arranged to blackmail them.

They said that they would welcome any inquiry by the DPO, Hyderabad.
