KARACHI, Nov 29: The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) on Friday reviewed the arrangements for single country exhibition and investment conference of Pakistan in Tokyo from February 25 to 28.
EPB vice chairman Ijaz A. Qureshi said the Bureau would organize a 10- to 15-member delegation of top Pakistani businessmen on this occasion in addition to leading exhibitors for this four-day event.
He said Commerce Minister Humayoon Akhtar Khan would be requested to lead the delegation for single country exhibition and investment conference. He said the event would be more useful for both Japanese and Pakistani entrepreneurs for greater interaction.
It was pointed out that investment conference will be held on the opening day of the fair and participants of the conference will also attend the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition.
Director general, JETRO, Osamu Mizui, suggested that Pakistan should have its display point at the main entrance of the exhibition to show its cultural heritage, tourists resorts particularly mountains, resources specially manpower, to Japanese entrepreneurs and visitors.—APP
