Italian fails drug test

ROME, Nov 25: One of Europe’s top women walkers, Elisa Rigaudo of Italy, faces a ban from competition after testing positive for the banned substance caffeine, the Italian sports medicine federation announced Monday.

Rigaudo, who is ranked third in the world this year in the 15 kilometres walk, failed the test after an Italian club meet on September 22.—AFP
