Sharjeel in fine form

KARACHI, Nov 25: Left-hander Sharjeel Ashraf in fine form with the willow, hammered an unbeaten 122, as Delhi Academy beat New Capital Sports by 43 runs, in the 12th Muhammad Zamir Khan Memorial League tournament.

Batting first Delhi City Academy scored 188 for two in the restricted 15 overs. Apart from Sharjeel’s hard hitting knock, Ammaduddin scored (38).

New Capital Sports in reply were restricted to 143 for seven. Zahir Yousuf scored 26 and Nadeem Rafi 20 with Imran picking up two for 26.

In another engagement, District Central Police thrashed Victory Sports by 139 runs. Central Police batting first reached 205 for five wickets in their 20 allotted overs. Basit Ali Jr.(56), Saeed Shaikh (50) and Adeel Khan (32) had a good stint with the willow.

Victory Sports in reply were shot out for 66 runs in 18.2 overs. M. Riaz four for 20 and Raza two for 16, caused the batting landslide.
