DEAD FISH: The MQM’s members of the National Assembly have urged the government to take steps for the protection of marine life.

In a joint statement here, the MQM MNAs expressed concern over the death of thousands of fish on Seaview beach a few days back, and said marine life was threatened.

They said the use of the dead fish in chicken feed would be dangerous. They urged the government to destroy the dead fish and poultry feed containing dead fish.

They said the discharge of untreated industrial and municipal waste and sewage into the sea was a matter of concern, because it was creating marine pollution.—APP
