Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Nov 20: The zonal organiser, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and MPA-elect, Arshad Shah, and the members of the zonal committees have congratulated MQM chief Altaf Hussain and the displaced families, on the elimination of no-go areas.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday they said that now the days of hooliganism, dacoities, thefts and extortion in the areas were over.

They asked the establishment to stop conspiring against their party leader and his followers.

MQM: The president of the local chapter of Mohajir Qaumi Movement, Riaz Qureshi, has called upon the human rights groups and the leaders of the political and religious parties to take notice of the atrocities unleashed in Karachi against the women party workers, by the state and its favourite groups.

In a statement, he alleged that in the presence of law enforcement agencies a reign of terror had been unleashed in Babar Market, Landhi, Karachi.

In another statement the MQM leaders, Irfan Khan, Asif and Akhtar Baig, have warned the government not to play with the integrity and solidarity of the country to put the king’s party in the government.
