Cinematic homage to East, West

TORONTO, Nov 20: A new film, Bollywood/Hollywood _ a romantic musical/comedy by Toronto-based writer/director Deepa Mehta _ has been sold to 21 countries, including the United States, according to Producer David Hamilton here.

Other countries which have bought the movie include United Kingdom, Iceland, the Benelux countries, France, Portugal, Germany, Russia, India and a Middle Eastesn state.

Set in Toronto, Bollywood/Hollywood pays homage to East and West - with Bollywood songs, Hollywood choreography, a Hollywood plot (millionaire hires escort to pose as his fiancee) and a Bollywood morality play (son must get married before his sister).
