Container service

SIALKOT, Nov 20: The chairman, Sialkot Dry Port Trust, Muhammad Siddique Lone, has said that Sialkot Dry Port Trust has introduced a container service from Sialkot to Peshawar airport.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday he said that the service would expedite air shipment. He said after customs clearance and completion of other formalities the consignments were dispatched to their respective airports.

A multi dimensional plan is under active consideration of Sialkot Dryport for the speedy handling of exportable cargo to European countries in short possible time Siddique Lone added.

He said that under the programme a special container service would be introduced from Sialkot Dry Port to Istanbul (Turkey) via Afghanistan.

He said the service would benefit small and medium exporters of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Daska as well as many adjoining areas.
