KARACHI, Nov 19: Two activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement were injured when they were fired upon by workers of the Haqiqi in Saudabad on Tuesday night.

Police confirmed the incident, saying two activists of the Muttahida, Asghar and Rashid, received bullet wounds when Haqiqi workers opened fire on them near the Saudabad sector office of the Haqiqi.

The injured were rushed to a nearby private hospital situated on Sharea Faisal. Later, they were shifted to the JPMC.

DIES OF BURNS: A housewife died of burns on Tuesday.

Police said Neelofer, aged 35, was working in the kitchen of her house in Shah Faisal Colony when her clothes caught fire.

She was admitted to the burns ward at Civil Hospital. She suffered 93 per cent burns.

DROWNED: A five-year-old boy drowned in a stormwater drain in Site area on Tuesday.

Police said Aamir, student of a Madressah, fell into an open stormwater drain in Haroonabad, Site. The body had not been recovered till our going to press.
