Exhibition of Jacqueline’s wardrobe

Published November 20, 2002

PARIS, Nov 19: Caroline Kennedy has come to Paris to unveil a magnificent exhibition - at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs - on her mother Jacqueline and her Franco-American ascendancy, but also to promote the Kennedy Foundation.

Caroline, the only surviving child of President Kennedy, admitted that her mother was very proud of her French roots, indeed that it was for that very reason that many of the garments that are on display in the exposition bear French motifs.

She cited the example of the dress worn by Jackie for a ball at Versailles that was modelled on French King Louis XVI’s jacket.

About the Kennedy Foundation, Caroline said she was very proud of the courage that it had displayed in making its most recent series of awards.
