Iraqi oil exports up

NEW YORK, Nov 19: Iraqi oil exports averaged 1.19 million bpd in the week to last Friday, up a shade from the previous week’s 1.04 million bpd level, UN officials said on Tuesday.

The export rate brings Iraq’s four-week average for exports in the oil-for-food programme to 1.43 million bpd compared with the country’s sustainable export rate of 2.2 million bpd.

Exports of Kirkuk from Ceyhan, Turkey, jumped to 4.4 million in total from 1.6 million in the previous week, with five ships loading, UN officials said.

Basrah Light exports from Mina al-Bakr, Iraq, eased to 3.9 million barrels from 5.7 million barrels in the previous week, with only two ships loading, UN officials said.

The average price for a barrel of Iraq’s crude fell 70 cents during the week to $20.10 a barrel. —Reuters
