HYDERABAD: Position holders

HYDERABAD, Nov 18: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences on Monday announced the results of MBBS, final professional, annual examination, 2002, of the Peoples Medical College, Nawabshah.

Hina Naz Abbasi, daughter of Shabbir Abbasi, seat no 59, secured first position and Noreen, daughter of Nooruddin Shaikh, seat no 80, and Shaista Afzal, daughter of Mohammad Afzal Arain, seat no 137, secured second and third position, respectively.

The university also announced the results of MS, Orthopaedics, Basic Medical Science paper, and DLO, part I and II, examinations, held in Oct.

SU:The University of Sindh has announced the names of position holders in MA, pass, Economics, semester examinations, 1999.

Saifuz Zamir, son of Gul Zaman Khan Jadoon, seat no 9, secured first position while Mumtaz Ali, son of Mohammad Hassan Hingorjo, seat no 7, and Gul Noor, daughter of Mir Jan Mohammad Talpur, secured second and third position, respectively.

The university has also announced the results of MB, Homeopathy, part-I, annual examination of 2000-2001, held in Oct 2002.

Meanwhile the foreign students of the University of Sindh hosted an Iftar party in the honour of the vice chancellor, SU, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, at the foreign students mess in Jamshoro on Sunday.

Those who spoke on the occasion included the VC, Mohammad Saleh Rajar, the director of students affairs, Professor Bashir Ahmed Channar, provost, SU hostels, Ziauddin, MPhil student from Nepal, Shaikh Yahya from Yemen and Mohammad-al-Qudih from Palestine.

Mohammad presented souvenirs and a shield to the VC.
