KARACHI: Electricity shutdown


KARACHI, Nov 15: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), under its sixth Power Sector Loan Project, will take a shutdown of 66 KV Mauripur to SITE II grid station transmission line, on Saturday from 9am to 11am.

According to a KESC press release on Friday, during the shutdown which will last for two hours, a load of 10 MW will be shed and six feeders from the Mauripur grid station, namely Shafi Tannery, Mauripur Centre, Truck Stand, Ruby Chemicals, Rauf Textile Razzaq Steel and Caltex Treatment Plant, will be put off.

The areas to be affected are the Mauripur and Shershah industrial areas, the adjoining areas and Gulbai.—APP
