KARACHI, Nov 12: A young man was shot dead in Lyari on Tuesday.
Police said that Naubat Khan, aged 35, a labourer working at the Docks, was sitting near his house on Yaqoob Sahra Road at Khada Market, Lyari, when unidentified men, riding on a motorcycle, sprayed him with bullets and drove off.
Police said that Naubat suffered six bullet wounds. He was rushed to Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
A young man was shot dead in Kalakot area in Lyari on Monday night.
Police said Inayat, aged 30, and Anwar, aged 35, were sitting beside Haji Panchar Road, when three unidentified armed men came there and sprayed them with bullets and escaped.
Both the injured were rushed to Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced Inayat dead on arrival. Anwar was admitted to the hospital.
Sources at the hospital said Anwar was in serious condition.
Police suspected the killing to be a result of personal enmity.
A young man was shot dead on a minibus in Sir Syed Town on late Monday night.
Police said that the victim, Roshan Dil, aged 26, boarded a minibus of route W-30 (JE-7778) on Shah Wailullah Road.
On the minibus two unidentified men tried to snatch his hand bag. As he put up resistance to them, they shot him at point-blank range and escaped taking his hand bag along.
Roshan was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
