ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: Senior information technology manager, Pakistan Tobacco Company, Feroza Shera, has been designated as the convener of Corporate IT Forum.

According to a press release, the IT convener was appointed in a meeting hosted by UNISYS Pakistan held here on Monday. The focus of the meeting was to develop and promote IT excellence and best practices within the corporate sector in Pakistan.

It was also agreed that the working body should coordinate events in their respective cities and come up with an action plan for the suggested objectives.

Feroza Shera of Pakistan Tobacco Company initiated the forum with the objective of providing a common platform for major corporations and the government to work together towards the betterment of IT industry in Pakistan. Top-level IT executives, as well as representatives attended the meeting from the public and private sectors.

The participants agreed on structure and composition of a working body.
