HYDERABAD, Nov 7: The district and sessions judge, Hyderabad, Parkash Lal M. Ambwani, on Thursday called for the production of the Maulvi and others who were witness to the alleged Nikkah of a 10-year-old girl in the Matiari taluka besides calling for production of her school certificate.

The judge remanded the girl back to the Darul Aman.

The girl, Shahzadi, had approached the district and sessions judge, Parkash Lal M. Ambwani, who is also the Director of the Human Rights Board, on Oct 31.

She had accused the Shahpur police of harassing her and her family at the instance of a resident of her village.

Shahzadi, daughter of Pandi Khaskheli, was a resident of Allah Dino Sand village, Matiari taluka, Hyderabad.

The MPA-elect of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement from PS-49, Aslam Pervez, advocate, had filed an application on her behalf on humanitarian grounds and requested the judge to send her to Darulul Aman and call the concerned police officials in the court on November 6.

In her application, Shahzadi had stated that Khamiso, alias Mashooq Khaskheli, 25, was a criminal and had been issuing threats to her family, adding that he was a married man nevertheless he wanted her parents to send the girl to live with him.

She said that although she was not married as yet but Khamiso claimed that the girl had been married to him.

She charged that Khamiso, with the help of Shahpur police, Wadera Haji Allah Dino, and other people had her parents kidnapped.

She said that she has reached the court after facing a lot of difficulties as Khamiso, the wadera and the Shahpur police were working in collusion with each other.

According to the MPA-elect, Aslam Pervez, Khamiso, his father Abdullah and the father of the girl appeared in the court.

The lawyer said that Khamiso insisted that the girl had been married to him by virtue of a Nikkah and that he had witnesses to that effect. The girl denied the claim. The judge observed that how can a 10-year-old girl be married.

The court called on the administration of the Government Primary School, Musa Khatiyan, to produce her education certificate.
